Trinidadian Filmmaker Christopher A. Mejias has been intimately involved with his craft for about 15 years. Despite the challenges that usually face those born with artistic talents he has persevered to give us some interesting insight into the everyday life of the average Trinidadian and Tobagonian in the arena of Sports, Business and Drama.
Inspired from an early age by local filmmaker named Reginald Pollard, who introduced him into the film world, Christopher would often go on jobs with him gaining the opportunity to earn whilst assisting with such tasks as tripod duties. From there he started to do a few music videos, short films and other such related to acquire experience. Christopher now aspires to do a feature film or a T.V series based off some of his own works. He is also eager to participate in promoting the local film industry in a big way, both regionally and internationally. His project screener Taxi Talk was recently shared in a recent film festival. He is currently working on a narrative short film called “The Book of the Garden Samurai” which he plans to submit to upcoming Film festivals. Chris also often serves as a producer through the production company Verus Es Film Productions
